The other bridesmaids and I decided to organise a hens day out for the bride-to-be instead of the traditional hens party. It turned out a wonderful day thanks to Wayne’s recommendations and his bus tour. Prior to the day, he discussed our preferences and spoke highly of a number of locations worth visiting. Glad we did this, as each location was truly amazing.
Our day began on-time with a departure from home (Mount Crawford) after the traditional hen’s games and lunch. Wayne had decorated his luxury minibus for us and had some sashes available. Our first stopover was a wonderful place called TeAro Wines of Williamstown, where the wine makers hosted us, serving a divine Pinot Gri white drop with the Barossa platter we had pre-ordered. We then visited the beautiful cellar door of Moorooroo Park and walked the gorgeous garden, located on the banks of Jacob’s Creek. Then it was a visit to the delightful Rockford Wines and then Maggie Beers for afternoon tea. An amazing drive through some of the oldest vineyards established in the Barossa region on the way too before heading home for a roast dinner with the hen’s folks.
Our day was simply fantastic! Highly recommended!
