Our tours are the longest and most comprehensive. And we go to the Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale regions.

Quite often we are asked by a guest group, to do Barossa Valley tour and then the following day, a McLaren Vale tour, or a Clare Valley tour. Yes, you can do two South Australian wine tours with two different regions in two days.  All of the extra regions are in easy driving distance and time from both Adelaide and Barossa Valley accommodation. This is especially popular for our international guests who wish to see as much as possible in a short time. Each day is customised, with you having input to the itinerary for each day. No other tour operators give you such flexibility and ease of doing business. And your host for the day is a real winemaker and grape grower. Your time with us is packed full of local information, history and winemaking insights. See our Trip Advisor reviews at

Adelaide Hills winery tour

The Adelaide Hills boasts a host of attractions, with an ever growing number of small wineries with cellar doors to visit. One of the great things to do in South Australia, is an Adelaide Hills winery tour

Hahndorf is an old German town, settled in the 1840s by Silesian (Eastern Germany) immigrants, and is one of the most visited places of our state, with its beautiful scenery, old German establishments, and the great German style food at the hotels and cafes. Then there are many other towns, wineries/attractions and hidden valleys to explore… places like the Mount Lofty Summit, Cleland National Park, The Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens, Balhannah, Oakbank, Lobethal, Woodside, Kersbrook, and people love to visit the famous Beerenberg Jam Factory and  see the world’s largest rocking horse at Gumeracha.

We are unique in that your host is a local vigneron/winemaker, and you get to have lunch or dinner in his vineyard. He loves to cook as well!

barossa valley tour chef

Wayne’s expertise, passion and industry knowledge is eagerly shared, so you get to a true Barossa Valley experience, even learning how wine is made, whilst dining alongside his winemaking equipment, barrels and packaged stock.

You get to choose the stopovers from a long list of wineries and other attractions. Just ask him to email the list to you. He can also send you a typical itinerary, or one with his recommended stopovers, once you have provided him with your preferences. You can include Maggie Beer’s Farm, and even ride on a Segway through the vineyards of Seppeltsfield. Enjoy a tasting with Grange Hermitage at Penfolds, and taste your birth year wine, direct from the barrel at historic Seppeltsfield. Every tour is customised to our guest’s needs. DSCF0456

They are private, not public tours, for 2 to 12 people. You can ask to join an already booked day, but you must be prepared to run with the itinerary of the initiating group, and they must approve your joining them. In such cases the extra numbers help reduce the cost for all.

Your day will start at around 8am in the city, or 9am in the Barossa. And return can be at a mutually agreed time, often well into the evening – when guests want to see as much as possible in a day. Pickup and drop-off can be from your city accommodation, your home in Adelaide, or accommodation in the Barossa Valley.
